Driving Directions

The McCormick Place campus is comprised of four buildings: the North, South, East and West Buildings. Each building has multiple points of entry, depending on your choice of transportation or the primary location of your event.

Digital Summit will be held on the South Building. The primary parking location is Parking Lot A.

McCormick Parking Lot A Driving Directions:

From the North, Northwest or O’Hare Airport

  • If approaching from the north, northwest or O’Hare Airport, follow I-190 East to I-90 East. This turns into I-90/94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway).
  • Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the West

  • If approaching from the west, follow I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway).
  • Exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the Southwest or Midway Airport

  • If approaching from the southwest or Midway Airport, take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway).
  • Exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the South or Indiana via I-80/94

  • If approaching from the south or Indiana via I-80/94, take I-80/94, exit at I-94 West (Bishop Ford Expressway) and proceed on I-94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway).
  • Follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). Exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

From the Indiana Skyway

  • If approaching from the Indiana Skyway, take I-90 West (Indiana Tollway turns into the Chicago Skyway). Merge onto I-90/94 West (Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway).
  • Exit at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

On Lake Shore Drive (US-41)

  • If approaching on Lake Shore Drive (US-41), exit at 31st Street and turn right (West). Turn right on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Turn left on 24th Place. Follow signs to Lot A.

From Congress Parkway (the Loop)

  • If approaching from Congress Parkway (the Loop), turn right onto Michigan Avenue Proceed south to Cermak Road. (E. 22nd Street). Turn left on Cermak Road, to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Follow signs to Lot A.

Parking Information

Digital Summit will be held on the South Building, Lot A is designated as the primary parking location.

Lot A Address: 2301 South Prairie Avenue, Chicago, IL 60616

Rates: Loat A (8′ height clearance) is a six level garage with 2,100 parking spaces located on Martin Luther King Drive, adjacent to the West Building.

Covered walkways from Lot A leading directly into McCormick Place, Wintrust Arena, Marriott Marquis and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel also provide added convenience.

The parking rate is $25 for up to 16 hours and $38 from 16 to 24 hours.*

There are no in-and-out privileges. Overnight parking is available in Lot A only. Lost tickets will pay the $38 (overnight) fee per day.

*Credit Cards are accepted at the parking pay stations and exit lanes.

Public Transportation

Cermak-McCormick Place Green Line Station
The nearest CTA rail station is located at the intersection of Cermak Road and State Street, 2 blocks (0.15 mile) from the northwest corner of the McCormick Place West Building – Gate 41- located at Cermak Road and Indiana Ave.

Fare and Frequency
A one-way fare on the L train is $2.25 (Additional fare if coming directly from O’Hare Airport). Fare cards can be purchased at the station and collected prior to boarding the platform. To learn more about the CTA fare card system, visit Ventra Card. On average, Green line trains operate approximately on an 11 minute frequency from 5 a.m. to Midnight. Review the station timetable for additional information.

Riding the CTA to and from McCormick Place
CTA “L” Train routes our designated by colors and terminating stations. When traveling to McCormick Place from the downtown Loop, make sure to enter the southbound Green Line Cottage Grove or Ashland/63rd Branch trains as indicated on the platform and train display cards. When returning to the Loop from McCormick Place use the northbound platform marked “Harlem/Lake”.

Optional Cermak #21 Bus Transfer
For an additional $.25 transfer fare, Green Line riders transfer to an East bound Cermak Road #21 Bus located directly below the station platform on Cermak Road. As an alternative option to walking, The #21 bus stops directly in front of McCormick Place.

Connections to Other Trains, Airports
The CTA Green Line Route offers convenient citywide connections to the Loop and free transfers to many other “L” lines including the Blue Line - O’Hare Airport branch and the Orange Line - Midway Airport branch. The Green Line also offers near-direct connection to suburban METRA train stations servicing the North and Western Suburbs via Ogilvie Transportation Center, Union Station and Amtrak – via the Clinton Green Line stop.

Taxi

More than 5,800 city taxis are at your service in Chicago. Facility direction signs and personnel at the Concierge Desk will direct attendees to gates that are designated for your event.

Shared Taxi Program: There is a Shared Ride Program available for those flying into O’Hare and Midway and taking a cab from one of these airports to either McCormick Place or downtown.
