Charlene Polite Corley is a researcher, thought leader and speaker that’s passionate about representation in media.

Charlene’s work combines data and storytelling to amplify the power and influence of Black audiences, showcase media trends among historically excluded communities, and support both the moral and business case that representations matters. With 15 years of experience at Nielsen, Charlene’s appointment as Vice President, Diverse Insights & Partnerships in 2020, brought her ideas into action on the DEI Insights & Intelligence Team and the lead researcher on five editions of the Nielsen Black Diverse Intelligence Series report.

Named to Diversity Woman Media’s Power 100 list in 2023, Charlene has taken the stage at Possible, Essence Festival, AdWeek, Cannes Lions, SXSW and more to share her take on audience and industry trends. Additionally, Charlene’s insights on inclusive content and brand practices have also been featured and published in best-selling books, podcasts and articles such as Be There in Five, AfroTech, and M&E Journal.

Charlene is a proud HBCU alumna, graduation from Florida A&M University with her BS and MBA. Beyond work, Charlene is a creative, mentor, event host and speaker, a wife and mom of two.
